Dr. Alastair M Carnegie

MB BS Lond. 1978

Qualified at Charing Cross Hospital in London in 1978, after 2 years working in Canada he became a partner at the Market Place Surgery in 1984. He has a particular interest in Diabetes and currently works at the diabetic clinic at Kent and Canterbury Hospital on Tuesday mornings. He also has an interest in Rheumatology.

Dr. Christopher J Healy

DRCOG Lond. 1984

Qualified at St Mary’s Hospital in London in 1982, he joined the Market Place Surgery as a partner in 1989. His special interests include children’s health, respiratory diseases and cardiology.

Dr. Clare E Birchall

MB BS London 1981 DRCOG Lond. 1984

Qualified at Westminster Hospital in London in 1982, she joined the Market Place Surgery as a partner in 1992. Her special interests include the management of patients on warfarin and women’s health.

Dr. Graham D Hissett

MB BS London 2006, DRCOG London 2008, MRCGP 2011

Qualified at Guy’s, King’s and St. Thomas’ School of Medicine in London in 2006. After gaining experience in Devon and West Kent he joined the Market Place Surgery in 2011.
His special interests include minor surgery, palliative care and training prospective GPs.

Dr. Peter Burrowes

MB BS Lond. 1975 MRCS LRCP DobsRCOG

Qualified at Charing Cross Hospital in London in 1975, he was previously Senior Partner at a General Practice in Canterbury, before joining the Market Place Surgery as a part-time salaried GP in 2006.

Dr. Lalida Coopamah-Stern

Mb ChB Leeds 1994, MRCPCH 1999, MRCGP 2004, Dip Derm London 2008

Salaried GP

Qualified in Leeds in 1994, worked and specialised in paediatrics for 6 years before entering General Practice.
Joined the Market Place Surgery in 2010 as a part-time salaried GP. Her special interests include dermatology and paediactrics.
